The Sydney World Film Festival had a digital edition this year, and the best feature film award went to Asymmetry by Maša Nešković, as reported by the Film Center of Serbia.
A double edition of the festival is planned for next year, at which all films from this year’s selection will be shown, although this year the jury made a decision regarding all official awards, and awarded the main one to this Serbian film.
Asymmetry had its world premiere at the Sao Paulo Film Festival, and its domestic premiere at the Belgrade Author’s Film Festival at the end of last year. On that occasion, this film won two important awards: Marija Šarac received the “Marko Glušac” Award for the best editing, while Đorđe Arambašić received the “Aleksandar Petković Petko” Award for the best cinematography. The film was written by Maša Nesković, Vladimir Arsenijević and Staša Bajac.
